About me

I am hiring post-docs – see opportunities page and the AAS job ad

Welcome to my website! Originally from Monza, Italy, I am Associate Professor at the University of Milan, in Italy (see my CV here). My research is funded by the European Research Council. I study the environment where planets form: proto-planetary discs.

I am particularly interested in interpreting the signatures of forming planets in these discs and in understanding how these discs evolve and disperse. I am mostly a theorist and modeller, but I am very keen in comparing the results of my models with observations, and sometimes I even conduct observations myself. You can read more about my research in the rest of the website.

When not involved with such deep themes, I am a big fan of motorsports (forza Ferrari!) and I enjoy the Italian cuisine (which one otherwise?) with my friends and family.
